Epic News Menu

Intended audience

This communication is for leaders and managers with direct reports at UAB and UAB St. Vincent’s who have employees participating in Wave 1 Epic training. If you work at UAB or St. Vincent’s and did not receive a registration invite via email, this indicates that you do not currently have employees scheduled for Wave 1 training. If you did receive an invite but do not have employees who should be trained in Wave 1, please notify the Epic Training Team so records can be updated accordingly.

As we prepare for wave 1 of our Epic go-live, we invite leaders and managers with direct reports participating in Wave 1 Epic training to attend one of our upcoming Manager Fairs. These virtual sessions are designed to provide essential information about the registration process for all leaders with direct reports who will attend training for wave 1 Go-Live. Registration will open Feb. 9, with in-person and virtual kickoff offerings to aid you through registration.

Manager Fair sessions (virtual)

Please add one of the following sessions to your calendar. Attendance is highly recommended.

Registration kickoffs (in person + virtual support)

You may choose whichever location is most convenient for you. These kickoffs are an opportunity for managers to receive hands-on assistance with:

Guiding principle: ‘No access. No training. No kidding.’

Epic training is a foundational part of our implementation. This is not just classroom learning – it is essential preparation to ensure that every end user has the knowledge needed to deliver safe, high-quality care on day one of go-live.

Your leadership is critical in making sure your teams are ready.

We appreciate your time, engagement, and commitment to a successful Epic transformation. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your teams are fully prepared.

If you have questions prior to the Manager Fairs or kickoffs, please email the Epic Training Team at epictraining@uabmc.edu.
