Registration Instructions

Wave 2 EpicU training registration instructions for providers

Username & multifactor authentication (MFA)

To access EpicU, you will need your UABMC username (username@uabmc.edu). Also called an AD login.

  • If you need assistance with your UAB AD Username and/or password reset or need assistance with setting up MFA, contact the UAB Heath System IT Help Desk at 205-934-8888.
  • You must use an onsite computer at a UAB location to claim your UABMC username.
  • EpicU platforms have not been tested on a tablet or cell phone, so please use a desktop or laptop computer to complete registration.

If you feel you received this message in error, you may review the Manager Validation listing or visit EpicU to see your list of reports and e-mail epictraining@uabmc.edu with details.

Training registration is open from August 24 to October 16.

Reminders

  • Training completion requires watching videos, completing a test assessment AND going to your class.  All of these must be completed prior to being given access to Epic.
  • After you register, you may want to get a jumpstart on the videos. However, you will not be able to take your test assessment until October when the “Playground” opens.
  • Make sure to sign up for a Thrive training class now. These efficiency courses, offered 6 weeks after go-live, are taught by Epic trainers and will help to upgrade your Epic experience.
  • RESIDENTS AND FELLOWS: Please check with your Program Director for specific instructions on class registration.

Virtual office hours

Virtual office hours are open to anyone needing assistance with registration. This is an informal event to provide information, support, and troubleshooting assistance for registration.

Tuesdays and Thursdays
7:30-8:30 a.m. and 2-4 p.m.
